tatortoddI like Woody's Smokehouse in Centerville, TX. I usually stop there instead of Bucky's when I drive to Dallas.
They sell on-line too. Their jalapeno beef jerky is my favorite.
If I'm going for something more affordable and more widely available,
I like Old Trapper Zero Sugar Beef Jerky .

Great, but man it's gotten pricey.
The original is on our route to S TX & we'd stop all the time when I Was a kid to load up.
Last time I stopped in, a bit of sticker shock for 2x 1/2lb packs.

Lineman101 https://www.robertsons-hams.co...ory/real-beef-jerky/Very dry beef jerky. I think it’s better than the moist type.

JWFHomemade, I make my own. Found a good recipe on the web, use London broil or round steak with a 24 hour soak, in the dehydrator for 8-10 hours. Better than store bought.
Just another day in paradise.

konata88I don't have much of a sample size - I don't usually but it much. But I do like the Snake River jerky.
I find some brands are more moist while others are very dry. I like both but not sure which is better.

BGULLDon’t regularly buy or consume jerky. But the Bohemian Garlic from Bucee’s is a favorite.

pootieMake my own on my pellet grill. Eye of round sliced evenly, marinated overnight, smoked about 4 hours low heat until ready.
I had my patience tested... I'm negative.

HRKMy own, London broil sliced by the meat department, then marinated overnight in whatever sauce I like, Teriyaki, Steak, Jack Daniels has a nice marinade as well.
Goes on Bradley racks and to the Traeger at 225 until done, sliced a bit thicker than that store bought dry hard ass teeth pulling stuff...
Make you jump up an slap your pappy...

onegeekThree Bears Zero Sugar. Tb is a small local chain grocery. I don’t know who makes it for them, but it is good.
People's Choice Beef Jerky in LA is tasty, and has some great flavors.

Word. I live just South of Praseks, and I'll stop there before I stop at Buccees in Wharton. Their jerky is amazing. They also sell it at our local HEB but I'll make the stop for the jerky and some peanut brittle or fudge.
Road trip!
