howdy all. new member here, but not new to gun ownership.
i had a New Jersey CCW permit for 25 years and carried my S&W 45-06.
i did a lot of military work and had to be armed in ordinance areas i worked in. also with my federal security clearance they wanted me armed in secure areas of newark and atlantic city airports. unfortunately when i stopped working in secure areas, they did not want to renew my CCW. now with the relaxed CCW laws in NJ, i in getting my permit back. but i want to carry something smaller than the 45-06.
the kids bought me a Henry Homestader and a glock 19 gen 5 for my birthday a few months ago, but i dont like the fact it it does not have a manual safety. so i am looking at a M18.
I have a large collection of assorted shotguns, rifles,(including 5 Henrys) and 6 S&W handguns too.

Welcome aboard- for CCW, that Glock 19 should do fine; Probably one of the finest combined size vs capacity. The best safety is between the ears.

Welcome!

HK makes some nice firearms with manual safeties. I have a few but the one I carry the most of those is the HK P30 SKS.

Then, I'd say, the HK USPc V1 is one excellent candidate. DA/SA hammer fired with manual safety, compact, lightweight, plenty of firepower.

Btw, welcome to SF!

Welcome from southern Indiana. I've got a Sig p365 with a manual safety that is a fine carry piece.

Welcome! You came to a great place.
I'd take a look at the p365xl with a manual safety although I wouldn't hesitate to carry a g19. It's one of the top ccw pistols for a reason.
If you like da/sa, consider a cz pcr.

Welcome. I changed my attitude about external safeties during a training session. Drew in mock urgency and nothing happened. I had forgotten to select to fire. Had I been in real peril and time were critical, I would have been porked. I went to a firearm with a trigger safety and then to an HK law enforcement mod gun. Been there ever since.

Welcome! I've been here a couple of years now, and have to say just a great forum.
Like you I prefer a manual safety, bought the Sig p 365X with manual safety. Very nice for ccw.
