Love the Model A. Nice find on the forgotten .30-06! Always a good feeling finding something like that. I have a worse situation going on in my garage. Namely, it’s full, needs to be emptied, and somehwhere is a pile of loaded AR mags I haven’t seen since we moved. ______________________________________________ "If the truth shall kill them, let them die.” Endeavoring to master the subtle art of the grapefruit spoon.

I think modern car garages are commonly overstated by one. Like when I realized buying a 2 x 4 isn't 2 inches by 4 inches. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Somebody suggested buying some wheel dollies and putting the GTO against the back wall Looks like this is actually going to work. All the stuff left just needs to be moved around and put away now. It’s still freaking in the mid 90s around here so it’s going slowly. Hopefully in 2 weeks I’ll get a chance to get the front suspension back on the Mustang and bring her over. Then just put in the new gas tank get her running again with the factory motor which should not be too bad as she ran when she got put away. Once she is running fine in stock form time to pull the motor and start working on the turbo swap. Motor is fully built and ready to drop in but still need to get the stand alone ECU. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. If we got each other, and that's all we have. We were both going hot and heavy a few years back on our LX Mustangs. Mine is probably at the same stage for about the same amount of years. It's been taking up a third of my 3 car since! I've been pondering getting going on it again! ___________________________ "I Get It Now" Beth Greene

6 years ago when we had the first kid is about when she started sitting again. Hopefully with it at my house and not 25 minutes away will be easier to get a little done at a time. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. Black92LX - not sure if I had mentioned it before, but seems we have a lot in common. My dream car since high school has been a 65 GTO or 69 Judge. Always been a Mustang guy too. (Owned a few from my 1st 89 5.0 LX to current 05 supercharged/full bolt on) I'm also in San Antonio. It would be cool to meet up with you if you are ever in the area.

You've got all sorts of issues there. Not the worst, but consider ditching the 1982 Technics speakers and getting a couple decent bluetooth ones. If there's a same-period Pioneer receiver and cassette deck, the same. Those alone will free up enough space for more deer. You only have integrity once. - imprezaguy02

Please! They are Pioneer speakers and sound much better than any Bluetooth speaker. They are connected to a newer Pioneer receiver. I have a vintage Pioneer receiver that they were hooked to and sounded even better but I have a couple shorts in the knobs I need to remedy. BigJnSA San Antonio is on the list to get to some year when the kids are better travelers but if you are ever in Central Ky feel free to give me a shout. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. At least you have one running. I sold off the last two that were running. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. If we got each other, and that's all we have. I will be your brother, and I'll hold your hand. You should know I'll be there for you!

Y'all are making me feel a LOT better about MY garage. Politicians seem to have forgotten that they work for us, not the other way around. — — — — — — — — — — — — God bless America.

Glad you were able to get it cleaned up a bit. Looks like the wheel dollies worked out well. Makes me feel a lot better about my garage, especially when Mrs. Cooker starts saying it’s messy. Good luck on getting the Mustang running again. What size/type turbo you looking at? Single or twin scroll, ball bearing?

Round 1 will be the rebuilt 2.3L turbo motor out of an 88 Turbocoupe. It utilizes a smaller IHI turbo efficient to about 18lbs. Should see about 250hp. After that is running pretty solid I do some porting and likely a different cam along with a T3/T4 Hybrid running 25-30 lbs or boost hoping to be in the 350hp realm for a decent little street car. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. Is that the same engine that was in the ‘85 Thunderbird? I had a T-bird with a turbo four. It was a fun car until the tranny gave up the ghost.

Same motor different turbo. The 85 did not have an intercooler and used a T3 turbo. That setup was good for about 145hp from the factory. The 88 was intercooled and switched to the IHI turbo. Smaller and spooled fast good for about 190hp from the factory. I’ll have a front mount intercooler, turn up the boost, a rollercam, and a higher flow fuel pump, bigger exhaust, and a custom tune. I should be in the 250hp range which is about the most you can push with the little IHI turbo. Will be good to get it back on the road for awhile and enjoy driving. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. If we got each other, and that's all we have. Not sure exactly what happened to all the original pics. Finally got all the suspension reassembled so she will at least roll. Please excuse the dust she has shared a barn with a wood shop for the last 6 years. It is below freezing so hopefully I’ll get to wash her next week. But she is straight as an arrow even after all these years. The good news she fits in the shop and I actually have more room than expected. Just some minor reorganizing now she is in. I have a happy little helper that wants to help with the “race car” A little more room would be nice but we’ll make do. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad.
