Thank you for posting that.

It brought back memories of my father who passed away in 2020. He was a lineman for a utility company in New Jersey for 43 years.

I had the album on 8-track. I wore out the tape listening to it in my car in 1968.

1968. I kind of miss that era. Simpler times.

Bob Dylan once claimed Wichita Lineman was the greatest song ever written. And for me, today, it is one of my top 5 in music history.

And yes, better times.

A great song, and a singer who was said to have perfect pitch, never missed a note.

Still love Glenn. Pretty much everything he did. He was also a session musician extraordinaire.

I didn't know about Dylan, but Billy Joel said that as well. In fact, Joel said "Stop in Nevada" was his attempt to try to capture the same spirit as Wichita Lineman.

Sounded even better back in the 70's when transmitting from a distant AM station late at night. Great memories of driving across great vastness of dark road illuminated by sealed beam headlights with this song crackling on the radio. Good times.

When I think of Glen Campbell I think of Rhinestone Cowboy on the AM radio.

My mom got that album after it was released. She played it often and I enjoyed listening. Thanks for bringing back the memories.
