This could affect GPS and give a nice light show up north.

The last solar flare warning I can find is for 11 & 12 October. Any chance your info is from a couple weeks ago? Link?

Attention '2000Z-71'...

The X1 solar flare of Oct. 28 could spawn Halloween auroras visible from New York, Idaho, Illinois, Oregon, Maryland and Nevada, according to NASA. The most well-positioned places are those in Canada, [Upper Peninsula of Michigan], Alaska, Iceland, Norway and Scotland.

I’m pretty far north and yet it’s expected to be unusually clear Saturday and Sunday nights, getting pretty cold.

Good news is if there is an Aurora we should see it clearly. Might be good to get photos.

Thanks for the notice!

Possibly even more than that.

And my typical luck, weather is cold and shitty with continued cold and shitty tomorrow, continued cold and crappy through the weekend with a pissy weather front moving in from the Bering Sea.
