A younger cousin of mine and his wife lost their home in Alabama in this storm. Tore up his truck, too.

They're all fine, thankfully; weren't there at the time, but damn.

Jumped over most of us in the North West of S.C.

but speaking of this... I've always made a joke about these storms following I-85 northwards and that I wish the government had put the interstate somewhere else....

I just realized there is probably a truth to this... the interstate with all it's concrete and asphalt as well as all the development along it has a higher surface temperature that probably primes these storms and clouds as they travel.....
