I stayed out of the candy corn thread. I didn't want those there to be confronted w/ the harsh truth. Big Grin

What's wrong with Necco wafers? That's some good candy right there.

"if you'd like to download a PDF version of this chart, please look in your butt."

Man, it's been so many decades since I last Trick'r'Treated that I'd completely forgotten about trading Halloween candy. Full size chocolate bars were the top scores, but variety is the spice of life and we weren't ones to look down on carmel popcorn balls, carmel apples, Smarties, or even Candy Corn. The candy that got caught in your teeth was a minor buzz kill, but that didn't stop us from eating it. Nobody ever handed out Necco Wafers to us so I've never had one, but I'm sure we'd have given them a go. Even the "lowly" Tootsie Roll was acceptable, as long as we weren't in saturation overload with them. Personally, I was even good with the "gay farmers" (Jolly Ranchers Wink).

My 2 boys were trading candy last night....I told them they had to pay the "Dad Tax"...they were not happy. Big Grin

It's a stealth tax. They go to school and I work from home. I nibble on their candy all day.
