It greatly depends on your environment.

I have one at home I use with a laptop and it goes everywhere and works fine. It's a cheapo I've used for several years with no issue.

At my work they suck. There's too much interference and a dropped connection really sucks when you're trying to be productive.

Take your environment into consideration.

I have the Apple Magic Mouse 2. Connects via Bluetooth and has a rechargeable battery.

I think it is overpriced for what it does, but works flawlessly.
