GPS and WGS positioning
I have a GPS app on my iPhone. It produces position reports like this:

——————————————
WGS-84 degrees :
Latitude: 32.868437
Longitude: -117.224098
32.868437, -117.224098
Altitude: 345 ft
Accuracy: 55 ft

WGS-84 degrees:
32.86844,-117.22410
——————————————

The WGS pair at the bottom is similar to the Latitude-Longitude pair above, but with less resolution. Curious, I found this on the web:

“(Google uses the World Geodetic System WGS84 standard.) World coordinates, which reference a point on the map uniquely. Pixel coordinates, which reference a specific pixel on the map at a specific zoom level. Tile coordinates, which reference a specific tile on the map at a specific zoom level.”

Apparently the first Latitude-Longitude pair utilizes the maximum resolution of my iPhone’s GPS modem, whereas WGS-84 is a standard form.

My objective is to put a standard form Latitude-Longitude pair in Amazon delivery instructions so drivers go to the front gate of my condo (which has a call box) rather than back gate (which doesn’t).

Serious about crackers.

Have you considered "Plus codes"?

Example..
Dropped pin in Google maps:

788F+JFW Hershey, Pennsylvania (home plate)
788F+JHM Hershey, Pennsylvania (1st base)

You can place that into directions in Google maps.

I think you're vastly overestimating the amount of time an Amazon driver will spend on your delivery.

"The people hate the lizards and the lizards rule the people."
"Odd," said Arthur, "I thought you said it was a democracy."
"I did," said Ford, "it is."
"So," said Arthur, hoping he wasn't sounding ridiculously obtuse, "why don't the people get rid of the lizards?"
"It honestly doesn't occur to them. They've all got the vote, so they all pretty much assume that the government they've voted in more or less approximates the government they want."
"You mean they actually vote for the lizards."
"Oh yes," said Ford with a shrug, "of course."
"But," said Arthur, going for the big one again, "why?"
"Because if they didn't vote for a lizard, then the wrong lizard might get in."

As an FYI.

The 5th decimal place in a lat/lon is ~1m.
I dont think worrying about centimeter positioning is worth your effort.

Pasting 32.86844,-117.22410 into google maps works perfectly too.

It was an Amazon driver that advised me to edit delivery info and GPS position into delivery information. Along with the call box code to unlock the front gate. Most of the regular drivers are knowledgeable. But many of the overnight and same-day drivers aren’t.

BTW - As far as I can tell, that information can be edited in only while a an item you’ve ordered is not yet delivered.

Check out "What 3 Words" dot com or cell phone App.

I love it. Forget pins and all that.

They have a sytem that uses 3 words to denote 3 meter square blocks all over the world.

Brilliant.
