Rutgers tomatoes and lettuce from my garden. Duke's mayo, an H‑E‑B onion roll, and H‑E‑B thick cut bacon. Both were delicious.

Looks great. Made a BLT last night too with some of my freshly cured bacon but alas no home grown vegetables (only Whole Food Heirloom). One thing I highly recommend is baconnaise .
I'll be right over! Add a slice of America cheese too mine please!

I miss bread and bacon.
Correct me if I am wrong, But I thought the cardinal rule of b.l.t. sandwich making is that Your neighbor across the street must be able to see the bacon on your sandwich .

BLT, could it be the most underrated of sandwiches or, the most timeless?
I do like a good BLT, I like to get a bit more upscale and use top-notch bread, fried egg and melted pepper jack...along with bacon, lettuce and egg.
My inspiration...

We plant tomatoes in mid-March. The sauce tomatoes (eg Roma) and slicers (eg Rutgers) will kill themselves producing tomatoes June and July. The cherry tomatoes will survive summer and produce until somewhere between mid-November and January.
We actually get 2 tomato growing seasons here. I'll replant sauce tomatoes and slicers on Labor Day.

That looks great.
I know it's Sigforum and we typically want to see bacon piled from the plate to the camera, but for me, the BLT has huge slices of tomato or it isn't right.

Nice! I love a good BLT but at home I just make bacon sandwiches (don't keep lettuce and tomato on hand). IHOP used to make a great "double BLT" but it's not on their menu any more.

Man that looks good. We are going to try and start a garden soon and tomatoes are first on the list.

Wait, that picture was taken outside in Houston Texas on the 25th? Why isn't it bursting into flames from the heat?

They ate mine a couple of years in a row. Now, I put up a fence around them.
"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown

Yeah, this is my first year doing tomatoes at my new house. Deer are MUCH more of a problem here than at the last location (even though we are about 3.5 miles away as crow flies). I was hoping to get away with no fencing but it's not to be. Fortunately I didn't spend money on it as it was a gift volunteer from a friends garden. But on the upside I'm within walking distance of a farmers market and I can just put in this years "grow" budget towards purchasing there. Here in Tacoma that should be about oh. . . August 27th for the first ones grown locally to be ripe.
