Savor the limelight |
At least the first 1500 miles, including Atlanta, GA at 6:00pm on Friday were uneventful. For the record, the speed limit is 75mph on I-75, so yes, I am going 5 over. The last 100 miles were also uneventful, inluding Atlanta, MI. Apparently, I uploaded some other videos to vimeo 5 years ago that I completely forgot about.

Points given for using a signal; points taken away for not paying attention. Glad you weren't damaged by that. God bless America.

What I saw when it happend, was one blink of his turn signal and he shifted lanes with no hesitatation. I was towing a trailer with two jetskis, so it's not like I was completely in his blind spot. I have no idea why he moved over. He wasn't gaining on the pickup in front of him and he was already past the vehicle on the on ramp. I had been on the road since 7am.

hello darkness my old friend |
His blind spot was everything outside his vehicle. You did well to avoid the crash and Bryan Adams rocks!!!

Some folks just can't seem to understand that they put mirrors on vehicles for a reason. ________________________________________________________ "Great danger lies in the notion that we can reason with evil." Doug Patton.

What a complete moron. They had zero reason to even move to the left lane in the first place! They weren’t passing. I saw them drift to the left at one point before they actually went into the left lane, which made me wonder if they were under the influence and then changed lanes like it is what they meant to do. Glad he did not make contact with you and YOU were aware of your surroundings. God knows how many times this has happened to me on my Honda Goldwing. I am glad it has a horn louder than many cars. Wait, what? |
When I taught my daughter drive, I drilled it in to look over shoulder when changing lanes and even randomly to check her blind spot. Seems dangerously unaware. I do not see why that lane change was even initiated?? ------------------ The plural of anecdote is not data. -Frank Kotsonis

I don’t see why he moved over either, hence my thread title. I had seen him a few times, we must have stopped at different rest areas, and other than not having a license plate, he was unremarkable. I think he moved over because of the guy on the on ramp. Judging by the billboards, weed seems to be legal in MI. Would being high cause a severely delayed reaction? You can hear me laying on the horn and he had zero reaction to that. I need train horns. A lot of people don’t have their side mirrors adjusted well. I see it all the time at stoplights. If I can see the driver’s face in their side mirrors when I’m in the same lane, then they can’t see who is in the lanes next to them.

Get my pies outta the oven! |
Some people seem to operate in a bubble and nothing exists outside that bubble, they don’t see you because you simply don’t exist to them. I see it all the time when out among crowds or out shopping and am amazed at how situationally unaware so many people are of anything going on around them.

Thank you Very little |
Man perfect opportunity to let him execute a self inflicted pit..... He did weave earlier toward the lane, guessing he felt he was closing on the car in front and moved over to not change cruise. On my newer GMC even with the auto cruise set to NASCAR following it will shut the cruise speed down, fast if you get to close to a car in front and pace you with them. Sucks so I tend to move over sooner myself, checking the area first. Still a dick move no doubt. This message has been edited. Last edited by: HRK,

Bryan Adams wore out his welcome here cancelling a 2016 performance because he did not like a new state law. Woke politics at its finest.

1969 was a long time ago. I'd hope he's had at least one other summer that was good since then. .

Those dash cams are double edge swords. Those other three videos are from when I first got the dash cam. I thought I was going to post all the stupid things it captured, but decided I don’t have time for that. I had completely forgotten I had done that when I decided to post this latest incident.

LOL - that is exactly why I have the audio recording turned off on both of mine. I'm not really concerned if someone doesn't care for my music taste (I listen to anything but rap or country), but more concerned that if I ever had to turn over recordings because of something that happened, I'm sure that my fluent and fluid use of profanity while driving amidst the typical Atlanta moron drivers would not be looked highly upon - even if I wasn't at fault.

When it started, I thought the white sedan was moving way to the right to get away from Bryan Adams. --------------------------- "Welcome to Tennessee, patron state of shootin' stuff." Bob Lee Swagger, THE SHOOTER
