GustoferMore Mac help - "Sign in to podcasts"
Anybody else getting this damn pop-up on their Mac?
Mine started the other day for some reason and I can't seem to get it to stop. I have to click "Cancel" about five times before it'll stop popping up...temporarily, only to come back awhile later. I've never used podcasts and never will use podcasts. I don't want it but I can't seem to get rid of it.
How do I get it to go away!!!!

V-TailHave you tried MalWareBytes (free version)?

GustoferI have not. I don't think it's a malware issue, but rather an internal Apple thing...that is annoying the shit out of me.

V-TailThere are a few Macs in our household. None of them are doing this.
What app(s) is (are) active when you see the pop-up?
You might want to run a scan with MalWareBytes. It's free, and it runs very quickly.

GustoferNo active apps. It's just the Apple podcast app that continuously wants me to sign into it...and I don't want to. Apparently this is a not uncommon issue with others, according to Google, but the remedies I've found online don't seem to work for me.

mark60My wife didn't want imessages on hers and kept getting a popup to sign into imessage. Under setting and then notifications I turned off notifications for imessage and it stopped her popup. Maybe the same will work for you.

architectI suspect that it may have something to do with an "enhanced authentication method" that your podcast client doesn't support. Even when you enter the right password, the server won't accept it because the method of presentation isn't satisfactory. I experienced this with Thunderbird and GMail, until t-bird got upgraded and started supporting OAuth2.
Try upgrading your podcast client, or try a different one. Or, just wait until your favorite gets an update.
