I have elephant-wide feet. 9E.

I want a pair of boots that are, so far as I know, unavailable from my usual shoe sources.

A few years ago SIGforum gave me a great source for a tailor.

Does any one use the services of a bootmaker?

Lucchese has a custom shop. Lucchese 12EE fit my super wide feet fine, though.

Also, Paul Bond in Arizona.

You may want to specify boot style. Russell moccasin makes custom boots.

What kind of boot are we talking?

Custom cowboy boots? Yeah sure. There are tons of guys out there. Some may have years long waiting list and huge price tags, but you would a custom boot 100% tailor made to your foot. 9E isn’t that usual of a size. My local boot store would have several options in that size.

Redwing boots would also offer that size. Depending on the inventory level of your local store they may have to order it.

Don't think he is talking 9 E. He's talking something 9E wide, such as 11-9E instead of 11-2E.

Sorry I can't help but with 10 4E I find it all but impossible to find boots that I can get my foot into without going up a size in the length. Very frustrating so I will look at these suggestions as well.

I knew Charles Danner. His shop was small and on about 3rd and Morrison in Portland. He was old when he made lasts of my feet in 1960 for these custom-made "Danner" boots. He is undoubtedly gone now.............But the boots still fit!!!!!!

If you are looking for hiking and outdoor boots,

Try Peter Limmer & Son in Intervale NH.

I've been wearing size 12 Danners for years. Only after I decided to pony up and try a custom pair of Whites Boots did I realize I'm actually a size 9EE. I went through their extensive measurement process and sent in the foot tracing and numbers up to 10 inches high on my legs. Apparently, I was wearing size 12s to make up for the extra width. Who knew?

Approximately $500 and several months later, I'm the proud owner of a pair of Whites firejumper boots. HOLY SHIT do these fit well. I mean, they fit like no other boot I've ever tried before. The break-in period was rough. I wore them for 9+ hours a day for 2 weeks before they started to loosen up. Now, they feel like they are an extension of my feet.

WORTH IT. While these things will easily last for years, I'm curious to try a pair of Nick's, too. They both get high marks from reviews.

I’ve got narrow feet and have bought several pairs of custom made boots. Both that I would suggest have already been posted. You never said what kind of boots you want, but If western, I’ve had two pairs made by Paul Bond out of Nogales. The first pair, Paul Bond himself measured me for. Just remembered, that first pair of boots was my present from my folks after graduating from UofA in Tucson.

Otherwise, someone mentioned White’s Boot out of Spokane. My favorite boots right now are a pair of bullhide brogans from them. Really high quality.

I have 4E feet, as in EEEE. White's boots makes excellent custom boots, but I found the high heel to be a problem. I have a list of some others, will post it later.

Used to buy Red Wing, there were okay. But nothing as tough as White's.

White's is in Spokane. I see that there is now a competitor in town, probably an ex-employee. White's prices have risen, so this is probably a good thing.

Frank's boots seem a little high to pay similar money to White's for machine welted boots. The magic in the White's line is the stitch down hand welted boots.

Thanks one and all.

SIGfan Roy is correct. My hooves are 11 9E. Yes, they are basically round. Or Square.

I’m looking for a desert boot. Clark’s once made them in my size, but no longer.

You may want to give Quoddy a look, they have boots similar to the Russell you posted but can do full custom boots. I have a pair of their Dorm Slippers (non-custom) and when they didn’t fit right, they reworked the one that was too tight and causing my foot to go to sleep...

Fantastic customer service.

Their men’s boots are here: Quoddy boots

Same here.

While I have gotten familiar with well made boots that are actually wide enough, I have found that it is money well spent.

Another vote for Whites Boots.

https://whitesboots.com/

you send it a traced pattern of your foot and they will make your boots custom to fit.

again, Whites boots. I am a lineman for the telephone company, Whites boots out last any brand by three fold. Price is high but fit is unbelievable, if you do the pattern and measurements of your feet.
