My kid told me that MLB The Show 24 on his PlayStation had a download for iconic moments in baseball. So far, the only plays on there are a couple from Derek Jeter. Besides the Willie Mays catch in the 54 World Series, what iconic moments would you choose?

I watched Nolan Ryan’s last No Hitter as it was happening. Fun watching him kicking ass too.

Agreed, too many. Ones that come to mind immediately, Kirk Gibson's WS homerun, Hank Aaron's 715, Sandy Koufax's fourth no hitter, Carlton Fisk iconic homerun, Don Larsen's perfect game . . . just to name a few.

This to me was it. I watched this live sitting in a dive bar, completely spell-bound by the drama. Many of the others in the bar were in the same boat, just mesmerized. Before that moment, I was not a Gibson or Dodgers fan in the slightest, but it seemed that it portrayed all that was magical and good about the game.
The sound was turned off in the bar so I didn't even have the benefit of Vin Scully's call. It was years before I saw a replay with the audio enabled.

Bo Jackson in the outfield throwing out Reynolds at home plate. Just amazing!
I saw Frank Howard throw from deep right to third and nail the runner. That was at the Coliseum.

This is #1 in my book. Both the homer and Vin Scully's call.

More of a local iconic moment because no one outside of Seattle (and New York City) watched it due to this happening so closely after the contemptible and divisive lockout by MLB. But the results of this game effectively saved major league baseball in Seattle.
