Have a Stealth Cam use the Lithium battery back that goes in the camera. I got just a bit over 3 months from that in winter months. Not too shabby. I also picked up the external 12v battery box that Stealth Cam sells. Just hooked it up the other day so we will see how long I get out of that. After swapping to the 12v battery box I noticed that the battery life indicator is empty and red and a new icon is next to it that is full and green kind of looks like a solar panel. So we have separate internal and external battery read outs. Does that mean I can put a full internal battery and a full external battery for even longer run time or will having both plugged in cause issues? I usually close up the cabin at the end of November and open it up in March or April all based upon weather. I can usually find time in January to go down and swap batteries but it’s a 2 hour each way which is kind of a pain to just swap batteries. I throw a couple Christmas trees in the pond as well. Luckily it was 60* last week so I got quite a bit more work done this trip. I’d like as much battery run time as possible so it would be really nice if I can piggy back the two. Unfortunately solar is not an option for this location. I emailed Stealth Cam last week with no reply so I figured I would ask here since I know some of y’all have them. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. If we got each other, and that's all we have. I will be your brother, and I'll hold your hand. You should know I'll be there for you! | ||
