About 25 books, perhaps 20 more, which include Histoire des Origines du Christianisme and his controversial Life of Jesus.

No 1st editions as far as I can remember, but all late 19th century. Uncut and bound in Paris, circa 1900.

Where could I sell the collection? Definitely not piecemeal and preferably in the Central Florida area. My wife made the decision to sell them and, of course, I just follow along.

We are putting things back after the flooding incident, still quite a few boxes left, but my recollection is that there were about 40 books total. About 25 unboxed already.

Yep, in French.

Check to see if you have any book stores in the area that deal in older or used books. If they can't help they should know of a dealer.

Given that they are not first editions and are in French, I suspect they'll have both limited collector and reader appeal. They may be old, but old doesn't necessarily equate to value. Before taking the time and effort to haul them around to various bookstores, I would search them on ABE.com and see if they have any value or are destined for Goodwill.

Thank you, gentlemen.

She wants the space for stuff and knickknacks. Big Grin

Anybody know of a particular dealer in the Greater Tampa Bay area? Perhaps in Orlando, Florida?

I don't remember now how many I originally purchased. But the line for the 25 looks particularly short. For all I know now it might be Renan's complete works.

+1 for Abe.com. Take a look and see if it's worth your trouble.

I've bought a lot through them.

They have 9,000 entries for Renan.

It will take a while. Big Grin

Thanks, AT.

I don't really want to sell them, they have done me no wrong, but... Big Grin
