I seasoned the roast in onion powder, garlic salt and cracked pepper for a few hours before pan searing in olive oil.

Poured a can of beef stock into the insta pot, then dropped in the roast.

Set the pot to pressure cook for 65 minutes.

When pressure drops to normal, move roast over and drop in carrots and potatoes. I put a split onion on top of the roast.

Set timer for 10 more minutes.

Serve with the au jus in the bottom.

Damn, that looks really good Mars. I asked my wife if she'd like an Insta Pot and she replied that she would never use it. I'll show her your post.

Country ribs are amazing in it.

Dried black eyed peas take a whopping 15 minutes.

We do Mississippi Pot Roast in the thing at least once every month, and it is heavenly.

I have not tried a pot roast in my Instant Pot yet, but really want to. I have a nice chuck roast in the freezer(vacuum sealed) just cryin' to be made into pot roast. Yours looks great!!!

My wife is using hers now. A pork roast covered with a small can of Coke.

We've got a roast in ours right now. Should be ready in an hour or so.

That looks really good and sounds easy.

The wife isn’t a fan necessarily of the insta pot (although she’s never used one to my knowledge so I can’t say why) but I’ll show her this. If it saves time and turns out as well as the more “traditional” methods she might be all for it.

I think we had to do it 80-90 minutes for fall apart pot roast. 60 minutes came out tougher

Haters gonna hates, but after getting my Instant pot, I sold my Traeger.

Can do fall off the bone, cut with a fork ribs in an hour and you really can’t tell the difference except I have 4 hours of time left over.

We had InstaPot corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, and carrots last night. Fantastic.

My wife wanted a Ninja Foodi -- instant pot with air fryer function.

I thought that we did not need to spend a couple hundred bucks on yet another kitchen gadget.

Along came WOOT! with a sale on factory re-furbs for $99, so I ordered one.

I have been using it to prepare meals at least twice a week.

The biggest hit to date has been coq au vin, but everything that I have done in it has been good.

I made roast turkey breast in our Instapot recently and it was delicious.

I have the Emeril pressure cooker/air fryer combo.

I can't believe someone hadn't thought of these decades ago.

My favorite recipe is a bucket of wings covered in Tony Chacherie's pressure cooked, then drained and air fryed for 15 minutes.

Some items I have found have a different taste to them. Eventually it just gets to me.

Season/rub as if going to put on smoker, quick sear and into the pot with bbq sauce and 1-2 drops of liquid smoke. Cook for 60 minutes.

Come out moist, tender and falling apart. Optionally, a little water in the pot and put sauce on after then a 10 minute broil in the oven with sauce if you like it as more of a “crust’

Per chance you were using garlic? I haven't made much use of my IP because the first few things I made had an off flavor I can only think was bitterness from the (over cooked) garlic.?

*Not trying to steal the thread, just wondering why I'm shying away from my IP and Oz_Shadow seems to share my problem.
