The cable stay broke off of the pedal assembly on my car.
$68 for a new one & got it all installed last night. Assembly from the foot pedal to the T-bar under the console, came as a complete assembly.

Problem now, is I don't see any way to adjust it & the cable seems about 1-1.5 in too long. Pedal travels through full motion & only just engages the T-bar to pull the rear brakes.

The Malibu uses the pads on the rotor, not a drum-in-rotor setup.

Fixed, there's a 'pin' you have to pull to release the tension on the system.
