New type of fire extinguisher. I might have to get some for the home and vehicles. I have no affiliation with this company. I just found it unique and interesting and wanted to share. God Bless
I have a couple of them, although I've never used one.
The primary reason for the purchase was storage in a car. Unlike pressurized extinguishers, this is stable in a hot car and isn't affected by temp swings from summer to winter and there's no need to recharge it from time to time. The one downside is that unlike a squeeze extinguisher that you can start and stop, once this is set off it's going until it runs out.
Setting one off seems to be pretty easy, just like lighting a road flare.

Now I am going to be compelled to contact my old works safety training officer to apologize. I use to bitch about his mandatory annual fire safety sessions which lasted an hour. As a smart ass, I would give him crap about having to waste time listening to the same stuff I had heard in the previous 30 years of mandatory fire safety sessions.

Only potential issue I could see, you apparently have to get pretty close to the fire for it to work. The little extinguisher I carry in my truck will reach out maybe 6-8 feet to a fire.

I mentioned these is the car-bag thread... One thing I really like about these is that they are very effective on oil/gas fires. There is also a version with a longer "burn time" so that you can get it close (ie engine fire) and leave it there to knock down/smother the fire.
I have one next to the stove in case of grease fires, would love to get a few more for the cars. (Biggest downside to these is the price)
I shall respect you until you open your mouth, from that point on, you must earn it yourself.

Leno sold me on these a couple few years ago. And yeah, pricey but convenient and effective.
