Yeah, as long as they don’t up it, it’s a win, afaic. Btw, I’m surprised people still use insurance agents/reps. Q

I wish my homeowner's insurance did that. Mine increased over 35%.

My vehicle insurance seems to go up every year despite my vehicles getting older and my wife and I having no accidents or tickets. I have tried to explain I barely drive my truck at all, which is 23 years old. I have a state take home vehicle for work I drive for anything other than small local errands. Also my homeowner insurance goes up every year to keep up with the property tax value increase every year. My AT&T internet and DirecTV also just went up. Everything goes up except my pay as a state employee. NRA Benefactor Life Member

I got a letter last week from Erie our insurance carrier with a check for $145. They said they reviewed our coverage and found some coding error… ------------------ Eddie Our Founding Fathers were men who understood that the right thing is not necessarily the written thing. -kkina

I would be extremely cautious with services like Lemonade. My agent/broker/neighbor was approached by them to process all of their claims. Essentially, Lemonade wanted his business to accept all the risk while they kept the vast bulk of the profits. He passed. Both of my girls were in accidents under the age of 21 and dealing with the insurance companies were a PITA. The only way for me to get a response was to use my agent. Many of these big name brand companies are so under staffed today it takes a few weeks to get your claim processed. ---------- “Nobody can ever take your integrity away from you. Same. Except I'm a municipal employee, not a state one. Our "cost of living" adjustment has been 2% a year for the past four or five years. But the assessed value of my home (and the associated taxes) has gone up 40% in the same time. Everything else has increased, too. Utility bills, insurance, groceries...its all insane. We live pretty simply, but the only way I'm making ends meet is working a crapton of overtime. It's getting disturbingly close to the point where I could match my base pay working fast food, because for some reason those jobs keep getting raises. ----------------------------------------------------------- Any comments made by this poster are my own and do not reflect the views or opinions of my employer.
