nhtagmemberI Think I Scored a Good Deal - New Guitar Day
So I wasn’t planning on a guitar in the middle of renovating my house but it was too good to pass up
A 1999 Martin D28 for $1800
It has great tone - very rich and lots of sustain
I think it’s going to be my new favorite.

Oz_Shadow5 years ago that would be a very average used price. These days an average used price would be a couple hundred more in good condition.

maxdogD28 is the flagship Dreadnaught of Martin Company! It’ll just get better the more it’s played as the wood ages.
I have a 1973 D35 that’s a boomer. It has aged into an even more pleasing sound with lots of sustain.

flesheatingvirusNice! My wife has been drooling over a Les Paul Black Beauty for decades. We'll see how this year goes...I'm enlisting my dad's help; he collects guitars.

The price jump on them has been ridiculous these past few years. But then again everything has gone up in price. I think a used D28 is going for about $2300 these days so $1800 was a pretty good deal. My 2003 D28 has been great for me.
