I understand what you’re saying but in some instances cheering after a missed putt is cheering for the USA winning the hole rather than Europe missing and losing. It’s similar to an incomplete pass on 4th down that seals a victory. I still think the event has more class than most other sporting events. I hope the American fans maintain class throughout the event but there are always exceptions in every crowd. Go USA!!! ^^^^^^ Yep, this. The Ryder Cup is one nation against a whole continent making it unique by any other standard. It would be unusual for nationalism not to appear. I wonder if Harrington will play Rory Mcllroy today after benching him yesterday. That had to of hurt his ego. He sucked it up and followed the team all day and gave his support to his teammates.
