60 tons of gunpowder and it took 6 semi loads to haul it all. Starts at 9:30. One of the biggest fireworks shows in the world.

I worked it as a special peace officer for years. Love the air show, the fireworks, but hate the crowd and traffic!

It's been years since I have been down there for Thunder Over Louisville.

As a matter of fact I just got home from out of town. I was downtown Louisville yesterday (Friday) and saw quite a few of the aircraft practicing for the air show. All without the crowds!

I will say, it sure is something to see! The air show and the fireworks.

At least this year was nice weather for it all.
