The Lefties want us to stop eating meat and using fossil fuels. If we were to do that, would there be enough CO2 being generated to sustain the level of plant life we'd need?

Well, all the meat I eat is plant-based! It’s just *processed* by cattle, pigs, sheep, chickens, etc before I eat it!!

Not this half.

I admit to my tinfoil hat being strapped on a little tight at times, but I think these ersatz plant meat substitutes are the first shots in a war against beef in general and raising cattle for it in particular.

I know someone who has alpha-gal meat allergy, probably from the Lone Star Tick. She has been battling it for 15 years. I had never heard of it until a few months ago. Typically she cannot eat animals that have hoofs.

The meat allergy is real... I have know two people with it. It went away in both eventually, like after many years. One it was so severe he couldn’t even really eat in restraints because even cross contamination caused issue.

I have several ranchers that I buy beef and pork from. One of the larger ranchers is Sangres Best Beef. Old family ranch in Westcliffe, Colorado.

These ranchers know more about land use and conservation than a handful of liberal "experts".

Folks out here know the land, grass and water. Colorado is becoming more and more Californicated every day. Seriously looking at moving to a Red state, even though my family has been in Colorado since July 1886.
Every day Polis (gov) signs some new law. Even my cousin moved from California to Colorado. Time for me to leave.

Great minds think alike. We have engineered, over medicated, chemically saturated, and processed the living crap out of or food and ourselves. It’s no wonder why the natural process of selection of the best of us and nature is losing out.

It's all about clean living. Just do the right thing, and karma will help with the rest.

I've used plant based meat all my life and will continue to.

I just let the cows process the plants for me.

How can plant based meat exist? Meat is derived from flesh, which the last time I checked, does not exist in plants. Just call it "eating processed plants".

I worked in grazing management for most of my FS career (up until I became a district ranger). My last post as a Rangeland Management Specialist was out of Rifle, Colorado on the Western Slope. We liked it there and stayed 9 years. I have several friends that I keep in touch with regularly who ranch over there. One gave me a heads-up on the PAUSE Act several months ago. I went to the website of its proponents. I was struck by the subjective nature of the proposal; if someone feels like an animal is being mistreated then action may be taken. The OP makes it clear that this proposal is much more dangerous than that and would effectively end ranching in a western state.

I think I was living in Colorado when the Ballot Initiative legislation was passed. If you think highly populated urban areas control state politics, you can’t believe how the ignorant masses on the Front Range have a stranglehold on Colorado. In spite of the best efforts of Colorado Wildlife and Parks, they passed wolf reintroduction in that state—by ballot initiative. Stupid. If only the measure had specified dumping them into RMNP, so that Front Range residents would have to deal with the damn things. Nope, Western Slope.

Look at the spokesman for PAUSE. That asshole doesn’t know a posthole from his… well guess.
