I have in-laws in the country from Argentina for a month, so Tuesday of last week I thought it might be nice to get out of the house. Wink (They are awesome by the way..) thought I’d take a ride over to Guitar center to check out some of their goods. When I arrived I realize I was about an hour early, and there was a Ford dealership at the end of the street.

I drive a 2021 Toyota Tacoma that the same incident happened to me back in March. 9875 miles on the Tacoma. I walk in and am greeted with the old “ My name is …… , bla bla bla. Very nice gentleman Mark was, in through the course of the conversation
, I shared with him I was just there to pass time until the opening of Guitar center. I have noticed lately how great looking the new Mustangs were and ask the salesman about them. I was advised they only had one with the exception of the electric. It was a White GT, 10 speed auto. I have a brother in Orlando Florida and my family had the first Datsun dealership in Orange County California, so I am familiar with the business.

I make the statement that there must be a big markup on the remaining GT and he goes nope we don’t mark any of our cars up above sticker, and we’re not a commission store. It seems a lot of dealers are doing this now, thank you Carmax. Long story short, $9.00/mos increase on 3 yr note for Ford at 0 %, my note, from Toyota 4.875%, payoff on Mustang- $19000, payoff to Toyota-20000..

No brainer!!!!! As long as I have a payment under 400 a month ( it’s $379 now!) I’m in!! This is the second car I have done in a year like this. I get bored fast so this works for me..

Too bad there is 6” of snow out there today….460 HP!
The car business will make your head spin at this time. So many factors, but if you know what you are doing, you can do well AND have fun!!! This is not for everyone, but once again is fun!!!

Never did make it to GC…..

Sounds like you need a big open parking lot to have some fun in!

Congratulations on the new pony car!

Yea if you aren't scared to negotiate you can get some good deals out there. I sold my 2017 G80 for a few thousand less than what I bought it for 3 years ago.

We want Pics!!!

Were you going to GC for guitars? I was gonna say I can’t imagine going there when Nashville has great guitar stores.

Cringe. If you are trading in cars 2-3 times a year because you get "bored", you are really setting yourself up for financial failure.

And don't buy cars based on monthly payments.

I rented a Mustang GT conv in Vegas to do the Pacific coast Hwy a few weeks back.
I think that thing runs a 12.6 quarter/mile.
It was fast and a lot of fun, much better mileage than I expected too, I drove it hard.
The car had 45K miles on it and you know everybody beat it like a rented mule, I was surprised how good it ran.
You are gonna have a lot of fun with that.

JDHunz, after many, many years of motorcycle love, I must agree, takes some control not to go to jail in a very short period of time! Extremely linear power, decent mileage… until the mods….hmmm mm Yours in Black is just beautiful!! Enjoy!
2021 GT Premium, not sure of the mods yet, gotta do some research. What-a rabbit-hole! Gonna be fun.

Sweet!!! I like those rims for being OEM. Those are the 20”? You’ve got slightly better suspension mod options as the vert has an additional brace at the back that can complicate things with the additional weight.

With that snow, you can surely have a fun “spin class”… Wink

I gotta say, I am very impressed with the “ Rain/ Snow” setting in this vehicle. Damn thing works!! I was soo skeptical as 460 horsepower can get you jacked real quick on snow. I am smiling much wider now! Gonna drive it a while before I start tricking it out!!

Question is… can I get opinions on mods you have done and suggestions for mine. I am thinking a CAI, H Pipe, exhaust and tune. I know some of y’all like to go fast!!!!

I owned and drove a Roush Mustang. While fast, it was stupid loud even with the windows up!
