What is up with these mentally ill trans people and suicide? Deep down, do they hate themselves for what they've become?
From what I gather, the lifetime suicide attempt risk for trans individuals is about 40%, and this is whether they get the surgery or not. In my opinion, it's not a coincidence that people who suffer from bipolar disorder and schizophrenia have similarly high suicide attempt percentages. These are all severe mental illnesses.
Every one of the trans individuals I've come into contact with professionally (I'm an ambulance jockey), aside from being trans, was also suffering from severe depression, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar, what have you.
Cutting parts off of someone who's mentally ill in an attempt to 'cure' them is evil.
Manning, on the other hand, is a traitor. I sincerely hope their next suicide attempt (there'll be another) is successful.
I hate offended people. They come in two flavours - huffy and whiny - and it's hard to know which is worst. The huffy ones are self-important, narcissistic authoritarians in love with the sound of their own booming disapproval, while the whiny, sparrowlike ones are so annoying and sickly and ill-equipped for life on Earth you just want to smack them round the head until they stop crying and grow up.
