I would have given her a ride.

But I’m an asshole like that.

Ironic and funny all at once. Two SJW's (masquerading as clergy) in a tiff over which felons should receive sanctuary in a house of worship.

What a cluster mess.

How dare some low life cop question her authority!

That, folks, is the sort of liberal who wants to RULE over everyone else.

With few exceptions, the liberals I know, including family, friends, neighbors, are elitists. They feel superior to the masses, and are confident the masses would be better off if they would only do what the liberals tell (command) them to do. Ie, liberals say they want to help the needy, they really want power.

she should have been arrested, cuffed and put in the back of the cruiser as well

the fact that 'she' decided to interfere should have been reason enough

hopefully its not too late to bring charges against her

It would be interesting to hear from our LEO members on this. I may well be wrong, but I don't think churches have any special protection in that regard.

Come on, haven't you seen the Highlander movie? <grin>

Not sure about Conn. but here one must physically touch the officer for the offense, they can jab all they want.

I had a similar scenario just not with a Church but a manufacturing plant foreman.
Active Disorder on the line with the call taker at the location the foreman put hands on me trying to get for the disorder. He took the ride the disorder was resolved by returning some keys only person to jail that day was the shop foreman.

As for the Conn. scenario the transporting officer would have been long gone. Sarge would have explained once and left.

From the original post, in bold,

... a pastor arrived and blocked the police cruiser that Champlin was in ...

So where you are, a person can block in a police vehicle and all the cops can do is complain?

I've noticed the same.

In the video she does not block the vehicle she is clearly on the side. Not sure what happened prior to the video.

Nope, she can’t block a vehicle.
She would be forcefully removed from the path of the vehicle and if she attempted to return to the path of the vehicle she would be arrested for disorderly conduct as she is now creating a hazard that serves no legal purpose.

But does not meet the statutes of resisting arrest (yes you can resist another’s arrest) or interesting with governmental operations.
