Best receiver you’ve owned
Best looking, best sound, best for pissing off your parents…What was it?
I’ve never bought anything really nice but I did inherit my dad’s HK 330B. What was yours?

That's easy! Sansui 9000DB, still have it and had it restored recently. Looks and sounds fantastic and will shake the whole house at about 1/4 volume!

I have a 28 year old Marantz SR8000 home theater receiver that is still going strong. If it ever dies I will buy another Marantz.

There are several Mega Arms AR15 receivers in the safe as backups just in case... Wink

I have a few SIGs.

I fondly remember the day that my father gave me a Pioneer SX-1980 for my birthday.

Needless to say I was extremely pleased.

Pioneer SX-1250.
Bought at the PX in West Germany back in '76.
It somehow got lost when we PCS'd from Ft. Carson to West Point in '87.
The movers even popped apart my waterbed drawers and frame!
That and my Sansui SP-1500 with my Bose 901 1st gen. would totally rock!
Never had a receiver as good, Even the SX-1010 doesn't sound as good and that is running through a Pioneer SG-750 graphic equalizer.
Yes, I am a bit of an audiophile!

Marantz 2245. Still own it and have it at the cabin. Sounds amazing with plenty of power at 45 WPC.

Marantz SR6015

110W per channel, 9.2 configuration but I have speakers with 600 watt subwoofers built in… I had Yamahas of various stripes before but the Marantz is a subtle beast.

My first actual, honest to God piece of 'equipment'/ A Kenwood 5010. I was just out of high school.

First anything was a little transistor radio that looked like a red deathstar, Panasonic R-70.

When I turned 11, I got this exact setup:

Owned a Marantz in the early 70's but don't remember the model no. The family attorney had a real wild marantz set-up in the late 60's in his office. It had an amp, preamp and tuner with an oscilloscope. Speakers were AR3A. I think back then he paid north of 5k for the set-up.
