Best onion rings I ever had were at Dick Russell’s BBQ in Mobile, Al. Their breakfasts are really good too, they make their own sausage. Their brisket is pretty good. The onion rings though are the bomb.

I haven't eaten there for nearly 3 years, ate there shortly after we moved here. Since Bate's in Ocoee is closed, we will end up going back to Boston's Fish House at some point. Will try the onion rings next time. Was really disappointed Bate's closed as they had incredible clam chowder soup. The first time we ever visited Orlando, we stayed in Ocoee and I used Yelp to find a place to eat that night. This was when they were still on Winter Garden Vineland road in a small strip mall with about 5 tables. They closed and moved to a larger location in front of West Oaks Mall but never seemed to grow the business. Googled them a couple months ago and saw they closed permanently.

Never had those but the best o-rings I've downed are from Cantler's in Annapolis, MD. Corona, steamed crabs and those onion rings... I imagine the first meal past the pearly gates is something akin to theirs.

In reply to Para, when my wife went off for anesthesia training I found a great recipe for beer batter onion rings. Loaded up the RV and went to see her to cook some Red Snapper and Onion Rings. The food took some work but I scored after dinner and it was a great weekend.

There is a locally owned Moby Dick Seafood in town that makes great onion rings. Culvers make my favorite fast food O R and I'm a fan of White Castle rings too. 2 double cheese sliders, an order of onion rings and a Big Red and I'm gtg.

If you're in the DFW area, Sonny Bryan's are the best I've had. They even shared their recipe years ago, the rare times we make these that's what we do!

Here in South Florida, sadly the only onion rings you get at restaurants are straight out of a Sysco bag.

Arby's has some good ones (if you like them big). Cookout is probably my fast food favorite for onion rings.

The Ale House in Rincon, Georgia. Just a little north of Savannah.

I was shocked when they told me they buy them frozen.

Carey Hilliards were okaaaaay.
