Yeah, when those weather lumps start getting together you never know what might happen. It could turn into a weather orgy, and who knows what sort of beast might be spawned by that!

I'm not really trying to make light of it. I'm sure you southeast folks have had your fill of it, and I hope Milton was the last of it for this year.

Cyberphobia, you can relax. I am not putting away my hurricane preparations, thereby guaranteeing nothing will happen. I am not sure when I might get whacked by a hurricane, but I know it won't be when I am ready for it. Big Grin

I am Tuckerrnr1, I am eight generations here in Florida. It is my Home. I will not leave it just because this year there are a couple more storms. If people want to leave then leave. I will not leave my home because of a little hardship.

I just want the people who moved here from the northeast to get back to where they once belonged prior to the scamdemic.

They have made housing prices skyrocket, traffic increase, and try to change this place to the shit holes they left with their politics.

Here in the Granite State we say the same about all the mASSholes that have moved (or are moving!) up here since COVID!! Kelly Ayotte, the Republican candidate for Governor has even adopted 'Don't mASS up NH' as a campaign slogan!

Agreed the one ahole in the neighborhood is the New York liberal Democrat that moved in during COVID, even brags he's a super liberal.

Strangely, nobody talks or deals with him....

Anywho to ease your mind on them taking over, outside of this one guy, looks like most moving here are not of the leftist variety...

Yep. Beats falling on ice and breaking your ankle. If you want the real scoop to the NHC site. The reasoning is easy to follow. Beats the midwest weather guy. NHC

I was without power for three weeks after Charley in 2004. A few months later I bought two generators on clearance at Home Depot and didn’t get a chance to use them for 18 years.

I just bought another generator at Home Depot.

A friend of mine spent 10 grand on a generator after
Frederic 1979. He was without power for two months after Frederic. Of course twice yearly maintenance was required. He figured he could have emptied the freezer and stayed in a nice out of state hotel for less money until power was restored.

That is sad. Very limited looting here even afer Katrina. The stores were stripped of food and the cops helped out. People were starving and the government was slow to react. THere was always a resident who stayed with his handy shotgun which deterred crime.
