Bursitis and vigorous shaking seem not to mix. I'll keep stocking up on the good stuff when it is $1.50 per bottle.

But I did remove my freshly opened container from the cupboard and stow it in the door. The lone condiment.

This is pretty close to my recipe. I think I soaked my seeds three days.

I use half yellow mustard seed and half brown mustard seed, which adds some spicyness.

You can tailor it toyour taste, adding dill, fennel, what have you.

Shake my ketchup too.

I would, but I don't have any catsup. (I only put it on meatloaf, and I don't make it at home.)

I always shake catchup and mustard and Salad dressings and most other condiments that are shakeable.

All vegetable based condiments separate. 'Tis the nature of the beast.

Just shake it, or use the jar stuff and stir.

Gravity does this. Heavier stuff to the bottom, lighter stuff to the top.
Just give it a good shake before each use and all is well.

This isn’t a problem with bottles that are stored spout down.

Mustard in a jar is the only kind I eat.

Well, that's not entirely true. On occasion I have enjoyed spicy mustard from a squeeze bottle. But that's rare nowadays.

You must be pretty young. Mustard in a jar was the normal thing back in the 1960s--there were no plastic squeeze bottles back then.

An aside: as a non-smoker, when friends who did would visit my residence, I'd offer them an empty mustard jar to use as an ashtray--I didn't have any real ashtrays because I didn't like to encourage smoking. (This was before it was OK to tell people they couldn't smoke in your house.)
