I had a badly deviated septum and suffered from constant sinus infections and headaches. Up until the surgery, doing nasal irrigation with a squeeze bottle was the only thing that really helped. After the nasal surgery I've had almost no infections (three years now). Things drain properly and don't back-up. I still occasionally do the squeeze bottle irrigation (mostly after long days on a motorcycle, or when I know I've been exposed to a lot of particulate/pollen). You don't need anything fancy. The NielMed rinse bottle/solution and some distilled water are sufficient. Keeping the bottle clean is paramount. It's a strange feeling the first few times you squirt water all the way through. I found it to be quite pleasant once I got used to it, considering how much relief it brings to dry, irritated, dirty sinus cavities. _________________________ You do NOT have the right to never be offended. | |||
