Itching because of a reaction, infection, burn?
One of the most inexpensive itch & burn relief lotions. I used it quite a bit for eczema before getting it treated and now prescriptions.

If it is a insect bite, try the hot water trick, it really works! Run your hot water until its about as hot as you can stand. Place the area of the bite under the hot water for about 30 seconds or so. Remove and dry off immediately, don't scratch. The itch should be pretty much gone as soon as the area is dry. What I think happens is the hot water causes the your body to release histamines that travel to that spot because of the heat, and in the process, relive the itch - it lasts for awhile too. If it's chronic then for sure see a dermatologist. Going to see one is painless and opens you up to professional diagnosis and prescription strength remedies if they are warranted. I go twice a year to treat my actinic keratosis which takes nothing more than liquid nitrogen to freeze them off and takes but mere seconds to do. Over the years I've had some itching problems and was prescribed Fluocinonide, and Triamcinolone. Both required an RX and was completely covered by insurance. Itching went away with one or two applications. But please don't take what I say as medical advice. See a dermatologist. Men fight for liberty and win it with hard knocks. Their children, brought up easy, let it slip away again, poor fools. And their grandchildren are once more slaves. -D.H. Lawrence
