Their honor guard or drill team (or whatever they are called) was shown on FNC this morning. They were tossing, twirling and even throwing and catching what looked like M1 rifles with bayonets on them. Amazing. If those were real M1s, those are 10-lb. objects with stabby pointy things on the end they were tossing about.

Happy Anniversary USAF and it's sons and daughters.

Very proud this week of you all and my Stepfather as well. He was honored at the AFA by having one of it's education and training buildings named after him. We had a good laugh at the fact that he is still kicking despite the memorial building. I guess most are named when our heroes have passed on.

God bless you all and thank you for your sacrifices for our country.

If it won't matter in 5 years don't give it more than 5 minutes.

The day that I decided to join, the Air Force recruiter was out of the office, at lunch.

Navy guy asked me to take a placement test, no strings. He scored the test and guaranteed Missile School for me, so I wound up Navy, even though I had originally intended Air Force.

Didn't turn out to badly, I got to play with Regulus Missiles, chased by FJs (Navy version of F-86) and T2Vs (Navy version of T-33).
