“A major tech manufacturer is leaving New Jersey for Texas after just one year operating from its swanky new headquarters in the Democratic stronghold.
Electronics giant Samsung will soon be relocating more than 1,000 employees from its 312,000-square-foot office in Englewood Cliffs to Plano.

tatortoddInteresting as they recently built a 1200 acre $25 billion chip manufacturing plant near Austin. Wonder why they didn't headquarter close to that plant?

AglifterCost of living for employees, most likely. A friend was in tech - they put certain branches in Austin, due to the labor pool, but put the rest in Dallas, for cost.

Probably because Taylor Texas is not the place Samsung executives (and their wives) want to live. It's a hick town compared to Plano. (That said, the BBQ and Mexican restaurants can't be beat!)
