Ron Peterson closed down a couple years ago.It was the best shop in town.

Albuquerque, the nuclear museum is worth a visit.

Hiking, I'd go to the Jemez mnts. Drive to Fenton lake and hike from there. The Sandia mnts. also have nice areas to hike.

Calibers have some full autos to rent.

Santa Fe is nice for a short visit.

I forgot, 300 or so miles round trip away off highway 60 is Pie Town. Kinda far for a lunch trip but you’ll pass by the Very Large Array, go through the Plains of San Augustin and Magdalena, the trailhead for the cattle drives of years ago.
