Just saw this news about a guy who shot two, and it appears there were up to 5 others outside when the homeowner started shooting...

"DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — The two people shot Thursday night in Durham were 16-year-old burglary suspects, Durham police say.

Police say they believe at least one of the burglars was armed during the incident, which happened about 7:15 p.m. in the 2200 block of Dallas Street, police said. Police say charges against the homeowner are not being considered at this time, but add that the case remains under investigation."


But they didn't say anything about their race....makes me go "Hmmmmmmmmm"......

I’ll give you 1 guess.

Although end of the day it doesn’t matter the race of the creeps. 16 years old is old enough to know better. Do big boy crimes, pay big boy consequences and taking a bullet is a potential job hazard.

Only 17, already wanted on multiple felony warrants, and arrested while (allegedly) committing yet another felony. As much as our entire criminal justice system needs a sober evaluation, the juvenile system needs a complete overhaul.

Home invasions aren't big on my threat calendar, but I have always insisted on living in a two story home. I like the master bedroom to be upstairs. Part of it is the home I grew up in, part is not wanting to let someone sneak into my bedroom on the ground level. I prefer the "fatal funnel" a set of stairs provide. I just need a spare claymore.

When I lived in Alaska my MBR was at the top of the stairs. Everyone believed my reasoning when I installed a cat door in my MBR door so I could keep the door closed and the cat could come and go at night without letting in the 21 hours of sunlight. I hear ya. That’s why with one story I have a trained K9 in the bedroom with me. She is trained to do what she needs to do. I’m always ready. Tired of reading these stories in the news....

It matters because it's selective "reporting" by the "news" that's trying to influence us and sell us an agenda instead of reporting fact.
