I *really* like Klein hand tools.
I’ve used Klein linesman pliers and a screwdriver to clear many hundreds of knockouts and tighten (or loosen) hundreds of locknuts. It’s the perfect tool! Smile

I’ve started to accumulate tools by Knipex, Wiha, Wera, and others. My Klein collection is still the largest by far.

Made thousands of the Klein screwdrivers and nut drivers. Could never keep up with demands. Lots of overtime. Great tools. Check out Home Depot. They may even do replacements.

I have a messed up toenail from an accident years ago. The Klein close cut D2755 is the only thing that hacks it.
The rest of my Klein tools are excellent. I have many.

I love my Klein tools. I understand they’re not the highest quality, especially considering the likes of Knipex and Wiha, but they’re more than enough for me. I specifically seek out American made Kleins...American made anything really.

So was it a mistake to recently opt for Ideal 45-121 over Klein 11046 wire strippers?

My EDC strippers are Ideal 45-618. No mistake in what you picked but -618 ones are way more comfortable if you're using them a lot.

One of the few things I don't buy Klein.

Thanks Jesse! I needed 26 and 28AWG capability which is why I went for the 45-121.

No, I like the 45-416 (16-26) and 45-415 (10-18) for the nice grip. I also use an Ideal electrician’s tap.

The only problem I ever had with my Klein tools was keeping others from taking them from my tool pouch while I was not looking.
