In the coming New Year, 2022, both Groundhog Day and the State of
the Union address will occur on the same day.

This is an ironic juxtaposition of events. One involves a meaningless
ritual in which we look to an insignificant creature of little intelligence for
prognostication . . . The other involves a groundhog.

Groundhog day is February 2nd...one day after the start of the endemic.

The state of the union will reportedly happen in March.

The State of the Union address is currently scheduled for 1 March. Groundhog day is 2 February. Has one changed?

Biden’s speech is scheduled for March 1, while Groundhog Day is on Feb. 2.
