I have spare lug pins (2 different widths). I'm having a hard time finding spare pins for the micro adjustment spring pin.

1) Are these micro adjustment spring pins universal in diameter (or at least some sweetspot for most watches)?

2) I know the bracelets can very in width but because of the spring, are the springs flexible for different bracelet widths or is it specific?

3) What tool are you guys using? I'm using a toothpick for now but it's not a great tool - the toothpick breaks quickly.

Put pins… spring bars? I thought you got a spring bar tool?

I have a springbar tool for the lugs. I need a small pin pusher for the microadjustment pin in the clasp.

Oh, ok.

So 1, so far in my experience, yes.

They’re just spring bars, so they should be the proper length.

I’m using the cheesy ones that came with a cheap Amazon kit, but for that task, I can’t see wearing them out.

Turns out, this seems like a stupid question. Smile

I took the springbars from the lug and from the clasp - they seem the same. Smile

So, seems like I don't need to look for clasp springbar explicitly.

Also, I had an old dental scraper - that works fine to push the pin in the small clasp micro adjustment hole.

I'm good now. Smile I was asking because I have a habit of losing these small spring devices. They tend to sproing to unfindable locations. Like this morning - one escaped as I was trying to adjust the clasp. Took me 30 minutes to find it and only because I felt it hit my face so that I had an idea of which way it may have went.

Well, you didn’t know before and now you do, so it wasn’t that stupid. Smile

Dental pick sounds like a winner. I tend to do these things inside a little velvet lined cigar box-sized jewelry box my wife’s grandfather used to have. I try to aim watch bands so that if shit goes flying, the box catches it. So far, so good. You can also do this stuff inside a gallon ziplock bag to keep stuff from flying too far. Smile

The spring bars for the band/bracelet in between the lugs are different from the ones in the clasp.

Different thicknesses usually thinner, but the biggest difference is the tips on the clasp spring bars are much shorter so that they don't stick out and protrude from the holes in the mirco adjustment.

I usually use either the Bergeon 6111 or 3153 tool with the straiht punch on one end to remove and install the clasp pins or to do the micoadjustments.

In a pinch you can also use those watch punches for sizing bands either in 0.7 or 0.8 mm size.

That has happened to me. Try doing it inside a gallon ziplock bag.

Thanks - I'll look closer - the lug and clasp spring bar pins looked very similar. I'll take a second look - in particular the pin tip size.

I usually do pin work in a bag. But I was in a meeting and doing this on the side. Murphy as usual.
