benny6Does anyone know where I can find new ear seals for old military flight line ear muffs?
Min have dried out over the decades and have cracked. I keep these in my range cart for guests that forget hearing protection.

two-two-niner-romeoThat's an ancient pair of David Clark hearing protectors.

Check out David Clark website for replacement parts:

benny6Thanks! That helped me narrow down the model after searching their catalog. 9AN/2 is the model number.

sleepla8er.
If it's not too late, call the Pilot Supply Shop at Lakeland airport (863-327-2437) and ask if they have the oil filled headset seals that fit a standard David Clark headset.
There are non-David Clark seals that will fit but I do like the quality of original David Clark seals. Take the muffs you have with you to ensure they fit and feel as you like.
Also ask them for the fabric covers that go over the ear seals. They make the fit much more comfortable even when you are using the oil filled seals instead of the standard form seals.
After your done replacing those seals, stroll thru the Florida Air Museum if you have time and enjoy seeing aircraft.

ftttuI have the one assigned to me in the military back in ‘03. They are painted Ordnance Red with my initials and ordered number. We eventually received new sets so I was able to keep these.
Even though I still use them with the old, hardened, and cracked ear pads, I never thought to have them replaced. I probably will now after this helpful thread.

benny6Thanks! I'll check out the avionics shop in Lakeland. They seem to have a good price on gel filled cups.
