old rugged crosshelp finding something I do not know exactly what to call it. 12vdc power source
Something that has an internal battery. I can plug into 110v to charge it. has a 12v receptacle that I can plug a 12v device in and will allow for hours of 12vdc if service. Seems like I saw a duracell unit but cannot seem to find. Any help? Thanks

sigcrazy7It sounds like you're describing one of those power packs for jumping a car.

hrcjonWhat exactly are you trying to plug in? if its usb then there are thousands of options. just do a quick search. If you actually need 12v then again do a quick search on 12v powerpack and you will see hundreds of options. Unless you have some reason for a fully packaged solution I have built quite a number of these and its easy.

old rugged crossThanks guys, yes you have nailed to a degree. The pump for my portable shower has a male 12vdc plug that runs the pump. Something like the Jackery seems like a well made unit. The 240 would be awesome but $200 is outside my budget. The 160 explorer would work. It does not have the built in 12v receptacle. But does have a plug adapter that provides the receptacle for $100

OKCGene Consider This Has USB charging port and a 12 Volt cigarette lighter type plug in and right at $100 might be budget friendly. I think it provides power longer than the Jackery

Blume9mmyep, sounds like you need the basic booster battery as pictured above to me....
to comment... I don't see how a usb plug could handle the amps of even a small pump.... need 12 volts and I presume the pump would have the correct size wire.
Oh, and the nice thing about these booster batteries is you can actually charge them faster by just connecting to the batter in a vehicle while it is running....
