I was going to try them but they are a bit high. For that price I will stick with Darn Tough, I Have a pair of those that I have had for a long time and I know they last.

5 years ago I bought Thorlo socks at bendable's suggestion. They're the only thing I wear now. Seriously, I do like my Thorlos. I still have 18 pair of Thorlo's that will last me a long time. But the merino wool in these are trying to suck me in. Safety, Situational Awareness and proficiency. Neck Ties, Hats and ammo brass, Never ,ever touch'em w/o asking first

And when they don't, you can send them back and they'll give you a coupon code for the price of new ones off their website, with free shipping. I just did that for the first time and it was a pretty seamless process. The socks in the OP are actually a little cheaper than DT due to the numbers of pairs that you get with the package deal, and I'd be willing to try them but Darn Tough has done so well by me that I feel like they've earned my business. They're all I wear now. For anybody here hasn't tried merino wool socks before, especially if you walk a lot, they're an absolute game changer and this is a pretty fair deal. ----------------------------------------------------------- Any comments made by this poster are my own and do not reflect the views or opinions of my employer.

Warning!!!!! Resurrecting an old thread!!!!! OK so I am always on the lookout for a better sock that is made in the USA. I've had great success with Boardroom Socks which are dress socks made in North Carolina. So I wanted to give these Camel City Mill Socks a try. I am very impressed with the comfort and quality of these socks. Now full disclosure, I have not had an opportunity to wear them enough to comment on longevity and I have had an opportunity to wear them with boots. So I cannot comment on those situations yet. Just based on my initial impressions and observations I am very hopeful for these socks. I am not someone who likes wool. But after trying Boardroom Socks merino wool socks and liking them a lot (I've worn them through summer without issue), I decided I'd give these a shot as well and I haven't been disappointed.

Following this thread… My 17 year old son has discovered boots. Both cowboy and work boots. Not sure if the heel gives him an extra inch+ or he’s too lazy to tie laces. Anyway he is murder on socks. Bought him various brands of bulk pack and they all have heel and/or toe holes within 6 months. Over the winter break I tossed every pair and bought him a dozen pair of a new brand. I have a pair of darn tough I wear with boots and have had them for a decade plus good as new. But they are not cheap.
