My gut tells me that these aren't kids. This is too well coordinated. Timing is interesting based on the calls starting last week for the "Trans day of vengeance". Too coincidental for me.

I believe the way these calls are coming in makes them difficult if not impossible to trace to the source.

I'm sure there are a few kids out there smart enough to do that, but wouldn't assume the average prankster would have that knowledge.

Hoax school shooting calls force police response across northern Utah -


SALT LAKE CITY — Numerous hoax calls of active school shootings have prompted police responses and evacuations across northern Utah.

Unfounded calls were made to the following schools on Wednesday morning:

Box Elder High School
Ogden High School
Provo High School
Roy City schools
Spanish Fork High School
4 Utah County schools
West High School (Salt Lake City)

While all the calls were determined to be hoaxes, law enforcement still went through shooting protocols to ensure safety of students and staff.

"These calls are taken very seriously and are immediately looked into by law enforcement agencies," said the Utah Department of Public Safety. "We ask the public to please stay calm as our local law enforcement partners have not verified the validity of these accusations and we are currently looking into the origin of these calls."


Salt Lake City police responded to West High School despite students being off for spring break.

"We will do everything we can to identify the person or persons responsible for this unfounded report. These are not pranks. They put our community in danger," wrote Salt Lake City Police Chief Mike Brown.

According to SLCPD, the FBI and other law enforcement organizations will be involved in the investigation into the calls.

Students at Spanish Fork High School were evacuated despite the hoax as a measure of precaution.

"Police responded quickly and lock down protocol was immediately put into place. Police have swept the building and have deemed it safe," the Nebo School District wrote.

Despite there being no threat, Ogden High School students have been released to go home for the day.

"We appreciate all who were involved in ensuring our children and teachers are safe!" the school wrote.

While a false call was made to Box Elder High School, the Brigham City Police Department checked and cleared all local schools for threats.

According to the Roy City Police Department, all the calls were made by telephone.

"There's been no actual violence at any of the schools that we've been made aware of," said the Roy City police.

The calls come days after three children and three staff members were shot and killed inside a Nashville school.

This occurred in 10 schools in Maine last November.

The public panic was incredible, students spreading rumors and parents posting it on social media. It was crazy.

FBI took the lead on investigating it, no public action or outcomes since.

This. And if anybody thinks Jones is exaggerating, he's not. The system is completely broken, there are zero consequences, and the kids know it. I can't do anything with a juvenile other than return them to their parents...who are usually the root of the problem in the first place. Our juvenile probation department is utterly worthless...they actually get paid extra through some government grant to not incarcerate kids. I completely agree, but what you or I think doesn't matter. The law is the law, and we have to operate within it. Juveniles are basically immune under the law, and there is no way to criminally charge the parents for their kid's actions unless they directly contributed. Maybe there is some civil recourse through a lawsuit, but that's going to take a lot of money, effort, and a lawyer, and unlikely to see any actual payout.

It was a bit more real in Winston-Salem NC today. School officials reported seeing people with guns on campus of Forsyth Tech Community College. I was listening to this one. I didn't hear of any victims but several students were identified as witnesses having seen the incident and were being transported to talk to detectives.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A shooting was reported on the campus of Forsyth Tech Community College Thursday in Winston-Salem.

The Winston-Salem Police Department posted on Twitter that a shooting was under investigation just before 11 a.m. Officers were at the scene working on clearing the scene. This is happening at the main campus near Miller Street.

Forsyth Tech had initially said around 11:30 a.m. that it was an active shooter situation on the campus, however Winston-Salem PD said there was no active shooter on the campus.

Police did confirm that shots were fired on the campus. No information about any potential victims has been released at this time.

According to a message from the school, two “armed and dangerous” men were reported to be at large. Police didn’t immediately confirm that they were looking for two suspects.

Oklahoma University were the victim last week and it appears Collins College (Plano Tx) is this weeks winner.

NORMAN — Fake 911 calls originating from outside the United States prompted a massive police presence at the University of Oklahoma on Friday night. The calls falsely reported there was an active shooter on OU's campus.

OU President Joseph Harroz Jr. said late Sunday the university worked with the FBI to determine the false alarm was created by "swatting" calls.

Swatting is a prank where someone makes a hoax 911 call while disguising their phone number and its origin, drawing police and often heavily armed SWAT officers to the location of a made-up emergency.

Harroz sent an email to university students and staff late Sunday.
