a1abdjThe office supply stores sell business card magnets. You peel off the back and stick your card to it.
You can also buy sheets of business cards you can run through your home printer.

RogueJSK http://shop.ammocanmagnets.comI have these on all my ammo cans. He used to be active on the forum, but I haven't seen him for a year or two.
The printing is great quality. My only complaint is that the magnets could be a bit stronger. As it is, they can slide around when jostled.
But that's not an issue if you're like me, where you scoop what you need out of the ammo can to take to the range and leave the can in storage at home.

comet24I cut a 3x5 card and write on it, then tape it to the can. That way I can get more info then just 9mm, 5.56, .308 ect.
I will add weight, bullet type, manufactory and other info so I know exactly what it is.

zoom6zoomI have a bunch of this magnet tape that we used at work for making self stick cover plates. Works great for ammo cans, just write on with sharpy or stick a printed label on them. And inexpensive.

So you don't peel the white backing paper off and write on that?

I've bought from them twice and was happy both times.
The last order, I picked up several with the note section like this one:
I can write P229, P239, 5.56, 6.5 Grendel, 6.5 Creedmoor, etc.
Before, I'd have an ammo can with a .40 S&W magnet on it, but wouldn't know if it had ammo, P229 mags, or P239 mags.

BillyBonesNYCan't remember where I saw it, but there was a site that offered velcro identifiers similiar to what is used for the G-code ammo carriers.
For me, that would be convenient as I could mount velcro fur to anything... even magnetic if wanted.
For the most part, all my reloads are brought to range in old Gelato containers.
I just write the load info on a card and slide to container wall for easy identification.

I use regular duct tape across the front and then a Sharpie to write on it

Pizza BobAvery makes 8.5" x 11" magnetic sheets. Use any standard template and make your own magnetic labels with your printer.
