2 months ago. We bought a peloton. I could not say enough good things about it.
I’ve just got my 50th ride in and can see overall improvement. My clothes already fit better.
However, if I do a 30 min ride, it takes an hour, post shower to stop sweating.
Anyone else have this issue or can suggest a way to cool down quicker?
Thanks.

What temp do you shower? I generally finish my showers with the water as close to "arctic" as I can get it. There are a number of proven reasons to do it, however my main reason is that is instantly cools my body down and stops any sweating or skin flush (I'm pretty pale).

How long do you shower with it on cold?

I consume 1 or 2 Sugar Free Popsicles.
Works for me.
Good luck to you.

As long as I can stand. Now mind you, I have worked to this point getting acclimated, but I'll spend anywhere from 3-5 minutes under the cold. I won't lie and say it is the most pleasant experience, but I will say that I feel a lot better coming out out of the cold water than I generally do stepping right out of the hot water.

Take 10 more minutes on the bike to cool down. And I assume you have a fan blowing on you.

I am a fan of cooling down in the shower but what has worked best for me is gradually lowering the temp and finishing luke warm. Going cold initially and shocking the body has had adverse effects on me but YMMV.
I just take a nice long dump before my shower. And I’ll drop that stink pickle naked so I’ll be cooled off before I jump in.

I ride my spin bike for half an hour every morning as well and I have found that if I just take 15 minutes to cool down after getting off of it before jumping into a warm shower I’m fine. I’ll sometimes even turn the ceiling fan on to aid in cooling

A beer.
Seriously, alcohol dialates the blood vessels of the skin. That and it's cold. I found it works great.

Jump in the pool, then hit the shower.
Same as you after working outside for any amount of time, and a hot shower it's a bit before my body stops cooling itself by sweating...
What I try to do is after I get clean in a warm shower I'll gradually drop the water temp until it's almost chilly then get out. It stops me from continuing to sweat after a workout.

This works. Sometimes I don't have the time for the proper cool down and end up sweating after getting dressed. If I do commit to the cool down I have no problem in that regard.
