Not really able to offer any directly related info, but I love my 2.7TT in my car. Very quick for a mid sized sedan. Only have 4,400mi on it so I can't speak towards the longevity or towing. The one thing I can say is there is some turbo lag at low RPMs which I'm not a fan of. Not sure if it's the case on the 3.5 though.
