My grandson is going to be 16 the 30th of May. A special day for many of us. Especially for him because he knows the history of both of his parents families.

I can afford about $100. And, the more stuff the better.

Thanks for your help/

If he would like an all-digital look I would look at this Casio, has altimeter/barometer, electronic compass and thermometer for $52.

I would look for something from the Casio "Waveceptor" line of watches.

Solar powered, and "atomic" time setting.

Meaning anywhere in the US the time will always be accurate, and you won't need to worry about the battery dying.

Looking at 'Waveceptor' I found this or this on sale at $109 with free shipping. Looks pretty nice to me, I wouldn't mind wearing this myself.

Unfortunately neither one of those is actually a "Waveceptor."

Here are some examples that are, and in the right price range:

I got a G-Shock a few years ago from Amazon & it's taken a lot of abuse. It's solar powered, so it never needs batteries & it connects to a satellite daily to update to the correct time, so you're always within a few milliseconds of the official time. I'm retired, so that's not all that important to me now, but it's still pretty neat.

I wear the white and black version of this every single day, on and off duty and it hasn't failed me yet. Well over a year now.

It's been through foot chases, fights, smashing it against stuff. Hasn't budged.
