Every freaking year it's the game of raise the fees, threaten to cancel, get a discount.

For a while it was acceptable, but all the streaming services, they just are not needed, but, long time customer, used to having DTV....

So the deal ends in Sept, Nov bill doubles, I missed it due to some health issues, same for Dec with same issues, Christmas.

Called tonight, asked for cancellation, got offered the new deal $55 off, close to half the increase which would make the bill just a 45% increase.... Talked a bit and nothing better was offered, gal was nice and spoke english.

After a few minutes I just said, "cancel it, $55 off isn't a good enough deal considering it is still almost 50% increase" I'm out. So it's done, in 30 days if we want it back I'll just sign up for a new account under a different email and the wifes name and get more channels for half what I was paying.

She said you'll probably get called by a retention agent, keep an eye out for it.

But we do have ATT Fiber Internet, and she said "let me check out the promotions for you"

$90 a month for 1GB, now after promotions, $38 a month for a year... Gheez and I'm back in the game coach!

Still, gotta have the internet, I'll take the savings.
