My GoogleFoo is failing this morning. I've got an old mid-century house with mostly original plumbing. I've got a few faucets that are leaking a little more than I'm comfortable ignoring any longer. I'm sure there are service parts available somewhere, but I can't seem to find a name or model for the faucet that we have.

It's a Delta brand made in 1962. I found the same faucet online, but it's just another old one pulled from a house. Still, maybe the pic will ring a bell for one of you pros out there who could point me to an online resource to pick up some parts.

After striking out with several local plumbing supply houses a number of years ago, one of the counter guys suggested contacting Delta directly. I did and they were very helpful in solving my issue.

Any plumbing supply will have repair kits for those.

You will have extra parts... just match what you put in to what you take out.
Grab some faucet grease to use on it while you are at it for lubing the ball and threads of the cap nut. Disassembly can be problematic due to corrosion sometimes. I also remove the set screw from the handle and grease the threads on it as they some times corrode stuck.

If you find genuine a Delta kit buy and use it vs the aftermarket kit. We had better luck with those but the above linked kit will work.

The same fixture with the big crystal knob uses a slightly different kit from the one with the lever.

Delta usually comes with a lifetime parts warranty. Give them a call. I have gotten parts from them for some old faucets.

Those faucets were still made in 1988. I installed one new in my house at that time. Parts are definitely available. I have a similar one still in use that controls a shower.

Delta will send you parts for free. They may want you to disassemble the ball and describe the seal/springs below.

I *think* they went from one design into a newer design but do not know when.

Perhaps true for the original owner. I mentioned I had just purchased the home (built in late 90s) and that made lifetime warranty unavailable to me.

If yours looks like the one in the pic's just replace the old junk.
You will use up lots of time and the possibly of getting leaks .
Go with braided lines and eliminate that copper mess.new everything and be done with it.

I have repaired the larger kitchen version about 20 yrs ago and parts are still available. Also check you tube as they have videos showing this. Very easy from what I recall.

Replace . Even if you repair it this time , it's still old and prone to fail somewhere else .Looks like hell too .

Very easy to fix, as long as you can get the cap (below the handle) to turn. Quite often, minerals in the water make it impossible. I have had to Dremel many off, and replace them. Good Luck!!

Mine's not quite that bad (although a little water spotty in this pic). Actually, I have 5 of them in our house. Hoping to keep them running.

Take the valve out and take it to a good hardware store. As they usually have a kit with several makes/models to match up with the old one.

Two springs and two cup seals. Five minute job. Delta hasn't changed their system in forever.

The ring is for tension adjustment, the whole cap needs to come off. I can send you the parts no charge, as I get them in bulk. Will also send you the Delta tool to work on that style faucet.
